Scottish game 2 and 3

Curloneout faced the slowest curler on earth graham "the tortoise" Shedden in game two. The game started off well for curloneout out with a standard 2 with down the first. "The snail" replied with a good 2 back down the second and then the fun started! Down 3 Gracie had a simple nose for 1 but played what can only be described as a homosexual hit weight, this was compounded by a broken wrist on release resulting in a steal of 3 for the team in fancy dress. The score line got worse down 4 with another steal for the slugs. Curloneout rallied down 5 to take a good 3 at the 5th end break. Curloneout stole 6 and 7 to make it 7-6 down the 8th where the sloth levelled it at 7-7. Curloneout played a good 9th and Gracie predictably nosed for 1 and ruined the teams hard work. Down 10 curloneout managed a 3 course meal and a pint at the bar while waiting on shedden to play his last stone, sheddos final stone was as light and fluffy as his leads moustache and he only managed 1 for the extra. Down the nail biter two good ticks and a crazy triple rip made it look sweet for curloneout until a tasty pick up on Robbos stone left the shed with a chance, his draw was slightly heavy leaving Gracie a relatively simple tap for the game which amazingly he made. 1 win 1 loss.

Curloneout went for an early bed as they faced the Ferrari sponsored team christie at midday. Team ferrari skipped by lee mcleary tried some early mind games during practice but no reaction was awarded and 1-0 to curloneout already on the morale victory scores. Curloneout played a really good first 4 ends with very little mistakes until the 5th when they were caught out with "changing ice conditions" and lost a 3. 2 down at the break. The half time pies provided no improvement and a floppy cock handle by el capitano saw another 2 chalked up for team Ferrari. 7 was blanked and curloneout took their 2 down 8 to reduce the advantage to 2. End 9 was "baws oot" time and the welding goggles were welded on Robbo playing a particularly good freeze to lie 1. Gracie was left a tricky hack weight which tickled the gaurs leaving us high and dry and game over.

The weekend saw the team finish on 1 win 2 loss and all to play for next week in a tight section.

Game 1 v K.Smith

Team curloneout took to the ice for game 1 with the customary slow start. Mogi provided the early entertainment with a second stone hog however his embarrassment was saved when the dewars centre had to be evacuated for a "fire alarm" triggered by an un-named athlete smoking a "Grassy Banger" in the toilets. A restart was soon ordered by the chief umpire much to team smiths disapproval and curloneout glee! The restart however provided no advantaged and a 3 looked certain for smith until a good and rare double by Gracie and a slack roll out by Kyle gave team smith a 1. The rest is a bit of a blurr and the BWD was well used. Smith ending up well deserved winners. Team curloneout delivered revenge when Gracie "accidentally" spilled his pint of isotonic sports beer over them! Morale victory to the goodies!!

Next up shed head in game 2 at 8pm.

Kinross and New Sponsor........

Sorry to the avid followers for the lack of updates, this was due to intensive contract negotiations between both the team and sponsors.  (more to follow later on that)
Firstly we better tidy up the Kinross open review.

We were third and Dave Edwards is a cheat.  Lets hope the umpires at this weekends playdowns have their eagle eyes trained on his flighty feet.

Kinross 3rd.

Curloneout are pleased to announce a new sponsor for this years scottish.  After weeks of intense negotiations and bartering of terms and royalties Team Curloneout agreed to allow AUDI to sponsor them.  This is an etremely high end signing - for audi  Third Scott Robertson told us "We are all very exited to be sponsored by Audi it was touch and go for a while but eventually terms were agreed and the embarrassment of having to tour around in a shitty french car was thankfully avoided.  Mazda did approach us in a 11th hour deal but the deal was soon thrown out after they wre only able to offer MX-5's to the team.  Clearly these 'cars' are for homos and hairdressers only so passed them onto Scott Hamilton."

Whilst waiting on the delivery of the team Q7 curloneout planned to use Robbo Jnr 's Audi but due to a childish attack by a rival team this car is currently un dergoing repairs.  Thankfully Faither Robbo unknowingly has donated his lovely Audi A6 for team duties.  He wont be needing it for a few weeks as he is currently touring Canada with the strathcona cup team.  This is a great cover story for his real mission of vetting possible accomodation  and ice conditions for Team Curloneouts arrivalm in canada for the worlds.

There lucky to have us.....

We would like to make a special thank you to Elizabeth at www.sewoneout.com for her last minute heroics with her trusty sewing machine which is usually reserved taking in Mogies school trousers!
